desktop icon save and restore

Good evening; sorry if is not the right session.
I used Desktop Save and Restore for years without problems  ( windows vista , windows 7 )
By several days the program disappeared by the right botton of mouse apparently for no reason, on a PC with Windows 7 Ultimate.
I tried everything without result: reinstall the program too many times.
May you suggest me an explanation and, or a solution?
