I have a new computer bought June 02 with Windows 2000 v5.00.2195 Service Pack 2 installed. However on trying to install version 6.5 of MIDI-OX I receive the message: This installation package cannot be installed by the Windows installer service. You must install a Windows service pack that contains a newer version of the Windows installer service.     I have not been able to find which version of the Windows installer service is installed on my PC but I am surprised I am experiencing this problem especially considering the suggested download from Microsoft to solve this problem has a release date of Sept 2001. Fortunately version 6.2 is available on the Yamaha site and I can install this so it is not a major problem. However I thought I'd post this message in case anyone else had experienced something similar. If anyone can suggest a solution that is not too complicated I would be grateful.
