WindowsXP install problem

I have recently downloaded the latest version of Midiox and tried to install on my new Windows XP OS. I get an error message that says "there is a problem with this Windows installer package; a program required for this install to complete could not be run". I have looked for the Windows Installer on your web page, but you say only that XP already should have the installer Midiox uses. Any suggestions as to how I can install Midiox? Version 7.0 is what I have downloaded. I really like the program and used an older version for a long time on my old Windows 98 system with no problem. Thanks. Hugh

It sounds like you either got a corrupted download (try getting it again), or there might be a read-only setup file in your Windows Temp dir or similar. Try cleaning out: "C:\Documents and Settings\[User]\Local Settings\Temp"

Thanks for your response Jamie. I tried installing again last night and got things to work, without really doing anything different I am aware of. Maybe the temp folder got emptied anyway and cleared up the issues.
