COM programming in C++?

Hello!

I'm trying to develop a script for my midi controller(www.ucapss.de), but I want to do this in C++ as this is my prefered language and the script versions of java and VB lack some functionality.

Problem is, this COM thing seems very heavy! In java/vb-script all you do is thow in a CreateObject or what's it called, and you get a pointer or something to the methods the MIDIOX object implements. But how do you do this in C++ (and simple please).  Grin

Thanks!!

This is a much larger topic than can be included in a forum message.  Doing COM with C++ is the subject of entire books.  It is much more involved than doing it with scripting.
