XXX_MidiInput Latency

Hi,

Anybody had any problems with latency on the XXX_MidiInput event? I'm having a hard time tracing down exactly where it's happening, but my feeling is that it takes between 100 and 1000 milliseconds (randomly) for the event to fire after input is received.. any tricks for improving this? I'm sending a sysex command when certain midi strings are received (which I can do through MIDI-OX, but I need to be able to change the mapping dynamically at run time), and with up to a second latency it's not workable now.. when I use MIDI-OX's data mapping feature, the sysex commands are almost instantaneous.. However, using VBScript, waiting for the XXX_MidiInput to fire and using SendSysExString() takes up to a second for the SysEx to be generated..

Thanks!
