Trigger Script from within MIDIOX?

It looks like the COM/script functionality in MIDIOX is designed to allow an external app to query MIDIOX, rather than have MIDIOX trigger an external script.

I'm trying to get a PgmChg message from a foot controller to kick off a script in Windows (e.g., an AutoIt .au3 script).

Is the best way to do that to run a script that has a look constantly checking MIDIOX for the presence of that PgmChg value?  Or, is there some more direct method?

Thanks,
Dave

Yes - I'd code a function to read the data as it comes in and look for pgrmChg values. then take action with WSh scripting to launch your other script. I think you could also setup midi-ox to filter out data other than pgrmChg also before it gets to your script, I'm guessing it would be more efficient for your cpu to do that.
