I clicked through several boxes on the VBS one before the exception. The JS script crashed straight away. This is also on win7 x64.   Thanks, Simon. It must be because I have no midi inputs at present - only the midiox event port.   Now, what is the method to catch this error properly and present the user with a "no midi inputs" box ? Simon.
