Total confusion.......

I hope you can help with this ! I've just installed a Plugstation (+ 3 plg cards) alongside my sw1000. I already have a Kenton Control Freak. I also have XGPad (with both MidiOx/Yoke and Ntonyx MidiMatrix available), the standalone AN-1 and DX editors and Cubase SX. OS = Win XP. My previous MIDI setup (with Hubi's loopback on WinME)was relatively staightforward......however this one is a bit hairy ! Could you suggest the appropriate MIDI settings for the individual programs and MIDI Ox/Yoke to enable me to have all these running simultaneously, with the ability to record realtime parameter edits in Cubase ? Is it possible with Ox/Yoke to have the hardware Midi inputs sent to a multiclient "node", like Hubi's, therefore available to multiple apps simultaneously ? The MidiMatrix can't do this. Yours confused swayzak

I don't know that we could tell you how to configure your virtual patch bay without knowing which applications should be connected to which other apps. That's something you'll need to decide. Just remember that MIDI Yoke acts as a Patch cable between MIDI applications: you connect the MIDI Yoke Out port from one app to the MIDI Yoke In of another. With MIDI Yoke, MIDI-OX acts as the multi-client 'node'. You can run as many MIDI-OX instances as necessary and minimize them all into the tray if desired. Each MIDI Yoke port can be opened by 3 apps on either end of the 'plug' (output or input).
