Map CC message to Different Output Ports?

I came across an old message in this forum dated Jul 26th describing something similar to what I want to do with midi-ox. Essentially I want to be able to direct a data stream to any output I choose. The way it works now, is that midi-ox sends all of its data to all outputs! My friend who uses Logic Audio says that Logic has a software layer called the "Environment" that can easily accompish mapping data to any output. I do not want to convert to Logic and I was hoping midi-ox would be able to do this for me. To System Admin -- Is the beta you were speaking about that contained this functionality out yet?

Maybe I should be a little clearer about what I'm trying to do. I have a Kentron Control Freak. I want to be able to control any of my instruments from my rack using the control freak. For example, knob 1-4 will control my XV5080, knobs 5-8 will control my A5000, knobs 9-13 will control my XV5050, and knobs 13-16 will control my VP9000. When setting up my Midi Devices in Midiox, it seems like the hierarchy of events start with the input. Is there any way to specify specifically what output port a particular message will be mapped to without having to resort to sending the message to all the devices? am i doing something wrong here?

Using Options | MIDI Devices..., you can control which inputs are mapped to which outputs. Select your Input and Output MIDI devices. Expand each Output port in Port Mapping. Select and Delete any input port you don't want mapped to that output (use Delete key or right-click and choose delete). If you change your mind, drag the input port (from Port Map Objects) back on top of the Output port. The help file has more info on this.

Thank you Jamie for the quick reply but I don't think I'm making myself clear enough so I will try it again. This is what I would like to do : On my Kenton Control Freak, knob 1 is mapped Channel 1, CC# 7. I want that message to go directly to my XV5080. On my Kenton Control Freak, knob 2 is mapped to Channel 1, CC#7. I want that message to go directly to my A5000. On my Kenton Control Freak, knob 3 is mapped to Channel 1, CC#7. I want that to go to my VP9000. How do I do this ?

In your example, all 3 knobs are putting out the same CC on the same channel. There is no way any software or MIDI port could distinguish between them, because all MIDI data on a channel is combined before it even gets out of the 'box'. If each knob was putting out a different CC, you could route them by using port level Data Maps. If each knob was on a different channel you could route them by the method I described (you would adjust channel assignments as well as port assignments in the Port Mapping).
