Adjusting the velocity response of a master keyboa

Hello,

I just got my Fatar880 and was trying to adjust the velocity response of the keyboard via MIDIOX. {velocity 25(in) translate to 1(out) and 100(in) as 127(out)}

My tries led to velocity mapped output without the transmission of any midi not-off messages.

Any idea how to fix this whole thing??

Thank you very much in advance

best wishes

You have to keep in mind that a Note Off can be expressed by 2 different messages, and you must handle both situations for any mapping.

1) A Note Off can be issued by a Note On with zero velocity. Example: 90 36 00

2) A Note Off can be issued by a Note Off command with 0 or non-zero velocity.  Example: 80 36 40

Dear Jammie,

Thank you for the reply. I succeeded to get the map working.

Would you know of a realy tiny utility, using almost no resources that has as aim to only record incoming midi data (a little sequencer without the bulk audio, fx ... found in sequencers like logic or cubase)?

Thank you in advance

The Winjammer shareware might fit that bill.  I don't know if Dan McKee is still selling it but you can get the demo here:

Download: WJSw32.exe
