Tempo and Log File

Hi Jamie, My song on my QY-70 sequencer has tempo changes. But Midi-Ox seems to ignore the tempo changes when i record lively the song from my Qy to the computer sequencer thru Midi-Ox. I tried the Log file, since it a sort of mf2t utility, but the tempo changes are not take in account. Is it normal because Midi-Ox would not consider the tempo event ? Thanks, SergeD

Yes it is normal. Tempo events are not transmitted in the MIDI stream. There is no way to transfer that information in MIDI unless you are syncing to a sequencer using MIDI sync. MIDI-OX's MIDI Sync is completely separate from the Logging facility: MIDI-OX is not a sequencer. However, a log converted to a MIDI file using the T2MF utility will still sound correct because it positions each event as it was recorded in linear time, but the bar lines will probably not line up.
