Trouble with octave shifting

I use Reason 2.5 with a 37 key, 3 octave keyboard. My keyboard does not have an octave shift function. I have tried sooo many applications to shift the octave up or down, but to no avail. When I first got the keyboard I could shift the octave, but for some reason it does not allow me to do this anymore. The software I have used always says that the keys have been translated, but it seems Reason is getting to the signals before any of the software can translate the octave shifts I am trying for. Anyone know of a solution?

Alrighty, I got the mapping thing to work, using midi yoke. However, for some reason when I try to load preset mappings it doesn't want to load them. Weird, huh?

By Preset Mapping are you referring to the Patch Mapping facility? Or are you having trouble saving and re-loading .map files?
