Can This Be Done?

I'm using SX2. I've got a DM-24 which I control from Cubase with dedicated MIDI Tracks for each fader.
 
What I would like to be able to do is set up group faders in Cubase for the grouped channels on my DM-24.
 
I tried using the Transformer as an Insert and a Send with mixed results.
 
The other thing that occured to me is using MIDI-OX and MIDI-Yoke to set up the MIDI Tracks in Cubase with emulated MIDI Outputs that would go in MIDI-OX and return the same signal on several MIDI Channels. I played around with this, but I couldn't seem to find the place to do this.
 
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
