passing midi clock signals from a microsync

hi all

heres my situation: i am a vj and the software that i use on pc (elektronika) only allows one midi device for input. however, i use a behringer bcf2000 for control, and have just got a redsound microsync which makes midi clock signals from an audio feed. they both work on independently with elektronika, but i really need to use both at the same time.

so, my plan was (please tell me if am attempting something impossible):  use midiox to accept signals from the bcf2000 and the microsync and to output them to a midiyoke virtual port. then use the virtual port as the input for elektronika.

my problem: i have setup midiox wth midi inputs from both devices (and the input monitor shows messages coming from both devices), i have set the output port to midiyoke nt: 1. both inputs appear to be routed (according to the midi port routing window) to go to the midiyoke output port. BUT, only midi messages from the bcf2000 are being sent to the output (according to the midi port activity window).

the one thing that doesn't seem to be right is that when i monitor the midi input activity, the events from microsync show as for example:
timestamp: 00486AE, IN: 2, port:--, status:00, data1:00, data2:00, chan:--, note:--, event: Unknown Event.
only the timestamp changes.
is this how midi clock signals should appear?

any ideas at all much appreciated.

cheers
si

The MIDI Clock signal should display as 'F8', and it will be identified as 'MIDI Clock'.  It seems you are receiving corrupted MIDI data: MIDI-OX will not echo corrupted (illegal) data.  You should connect ONLY the microsync to MIDI-OX and get that working correctly before configuring a complex routing.
