Shifting Keyboard down an octave

The default KeyNote.INI has the computer keyboard's 'z' key set to note 0. Why does it output a 30 Hex? I'm presuming there is an octave function somewhere in MIDI-OX that is telling the computer keyboard to shift up a couple of octaves? Again and as usual, thank you very much in advance. I'm finding MIDI-OX to be a lot of fun.

I think the function keys, F2, F3 ... F9 change the octaves. From the help file: Changing Octaves ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------- The F2 through F9 keys select the range of octaves from lowest to highest. The default setting is F6. At this setting the "Q" key is set to MIDI Note 60, commonly considered Middle C.
