Changing velocity curves with MidiOx ?

I have (sadly) discovered that my M-audio O2 doesnothave selectable velocity curves (as described in the pdf !). I'm not entirely happy with the response - seems a bit insensitive when playing synths. Is it possible to create different velocity curves for live playing, using the MidiOx mapping dialogue ? If so, how ? thanks swayzak

MIDI OX can't increase the resolution of the data being sent from the keyboard - if the keyboard only sends six values from softest to hardest, MIDI OX can't increase the number of values passed on. What MIDI OX can do is change the steepness of the curve. For example, if you think the curve is too steep from medium to loud, you can have MIDI OX scale down the loud end so it only ever gets fairly loud. (e.g. scale 64 to 127 down to 64 to 100.) You'll lose resolution, of course: more than one incoming velocity might end up as the same outgoing velocity.
