Combining Data Mapping Transforms

Hey All,

I'm new to MIDI-OX, but so far I'm really enjoying this application.  A saving grace for SONAR's lack of a MIDI transform option (as far as I can find anyhow).

I'm creating instrumnet banks in Kontakt 2, and using MIDI transform in MIDI-OX to act as key switches in selecting different instruments (referencing ProgChg #'s)  in the bank.  What I'm attempting to do is create some generic commonly used banks that I can mix and match.  Is it possible to combine various .oxm files that are tied to specific K2 banks that I've constructed "on the fly"?

Obviously, different banks loaded currently would reference different channel numbers which can be altered in the transform area so that all of the various key switched banks match up to the right instrument banks loaded in K2.

For example, I've got my Transforms for a generic violin instrument bank using keys C1 -> E1, specified for channel 1.  I can save this, and reload it without a problem.  What I cant do is take the oxm file I've made for viola, and somehow combine those commands with the currently residing .oxm that is used for the violins.

To simplify - when loading a Translation Map, can I have the selection I'm loading get appended to whats currently there, rather then just replacing it?

Is this at all possible?

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,
I'm not sure if I really understand what you are trying to do, but...
you can have multiple maps in MidiOx.
eg
C1->E1 for the violins in the first line  on channel 1
C1->E1 for the violas on channel 2 on the next line.
and save that as a single oxm file.
I am unaware of MidiOx loading a oxm file and adding it to the current map.
Mind you, I wouldn't mind MidiOx being able to load a map file as a result of a patch change message on a 'MidiOx Controller' device/channel Smiley
If all you need is a simple way to cut and paste, save the map as a txm file and edit it with notepad.
By the way Sonar does have a transform option, but it is not real time. (ie not in the midi echo)
Menu 'Process/Interpolate'

Hello, how do you change note on off controlls to act as program change controls? I made the data maps, but it still does not work.
