MIDI-OX User Forum    MIDI-OX    Mapping Questions (Moderator: Jamie OConnell)    Help to ingore notes « Previous topic | Next topic » Pages: 1  Reply Notify of replies Send Topic Print    Author  Topic: Help to ingore notes  (Read 814 times) progmr New Member MIDI-OX Rules!     Posts: 7 Help to ingore notes « on: Sep 15th, 2006, 8:41am » Quote Modify Hello:   My current configuration is to control Guitar Rig2 via FCB1010 foot controller.  The sysex I'm using sends midi notes instead of CC messages to allow pedals to turn effects on / off.  This configuration works well and I don't want to change it.   My problem is that I'm also using a wind controller.  Using Maple's virtual midi cables I can merge the messages from the wind controller (chan 1) with the footboard (also chan 1) and MIDI-OX can route to maple cable 1 and 2.  Now my problem, I need the maple cable 1 (wind controller) to ignore all notes generated by the footboard except 1 which I want to remap to midi CC #64 (sustain).  Obviously I don't want the board to generate tones on windsynth.   Is there an easy way to do this and how does one set the application to ignore (filter) rather than remap?   Thanks! IP Logged progmr New Member MIDI-OX Rules!     Posts: 7 Re: Help to ingore notes « Reply #1 on: Sep 15th, 2006, 10:43am » Quote Modify I've figured it out but now have another problem.  I cannot seem to get the sustain to work because the windcontroller sends a note-off message after the pedal has been depressed.  I guess it might be hopeless because what would have to occur would be for the sustain to override the note off message unless there are any midi masters out there that can think of a workaround.
