Mapping an incoming Sysex to something else

Hi ! I have a Edirol PCR which has button (V-Link) that unfortunately only sends a sysex message. That prevents it, to be mapped in a Cubase Generic Remote setup. Is it possible to map a sysex message to say an program change, note on or something else ? It would even be sufficient to react on "any" sysex, as this is the only button to map this way. Thanks a lot in advance best regards RKWB

Sorry but we only map "to" SysEx not "from" SysEx if I recall correctly. I think there is a request for that in the wish list queue. I'd be happy to stand corrected, but I don't think you can do (yet) what you want.

Hi Jerry ! Thanks for the answer. I found a workaround. The MIDI Input Transformer of Cubase can do it, even though it does not allow to filer specific sysex messages, but that's sufficient for the moment. But I would appreciate if a future version of MIDI-OX would allow to map sysex too, because it is becoming important for DAW controllers. Thanks and best regards RKW
