...is this possible?

i hope i am not asking very elementary questions as i am not entirely sure how to beginning finding out about what to find out about and i think i might be missing some basic midi knowledge but... i am running ableton 5 and have a kaoss pad 2. i am able to map the kaoss pad to various parameters easily through abletons mapping system, however i would like to be able to use the X/Y pad on the kaoss pad to control more than 1 effect by changing which effect it is using through the program buttons. i am hoping that, through midi yoke (or is midi ox, im not sure) i could make it so that selecting different program memory buttons causes the midi value from the X/Y pad to be changed to a different set of values which could then correspond to a different effect. is this possible, and if so, how ? thanks for your time, and sorry if this is a very basic question!

ok i think i have narrowed down how to do this: is it possible to use midiox or yoke to set it so that a band of midi values within a given cc causes midiox to convert all cc data of another kind to different one?

Yeas. Use the Data Mapping feature. Check the help file for its use.
