BCR2000, Live, and Reason. Help?

Ok here's the basis of my problem which I hope MIDI Yoke/Ox can solve. I use a Behringer BCR2000 Rotary Knob MIDI controller, which sends MIDI information both to a program, and back from the program to the device providing it with the value for each knob. So for instance if I had it set to an input's volume in Live, I could control it from the program and the LED on my controller's universal knobs will move along with it. Or I could obviously move the knob and Live would correspond. Here's the issue - I would like to use this controller with multiple programs (Live and Reason), but whenever you do this it gets confused as to which master program to get feedback from. If I had programmed it to control certain things in Live, when I open up Reason it overrides the settings and switches over to pay attention to that program. What I would like to be able to do is have it set so that certain knobs control one program, and certain knobs control another. This would also require MIDI outs from multiple programs to be sent back to my controller so the values can appear on the LEDs. I hope somebody out there uses this device, because this might be more of a programming question. There are pre-programmed patches built in to the device that trigger automatically in Reason and Live, and this might be the source of the problem. I would highly appreciate your assistance!

I don't think I can fully answer this one in one go... It sounds like Live and Reason are using the same protocol to talk to the BCR2000 and hence sending the same messages - "Set knob 3 to value 120", etc. Of course, the BCR2000 is only set up to expect one set of messages at a time, too... That's a good thing. If you can change Live or Reason to use a different protocol and then set the protocol at knob level on the BCR2000 (i.e. by specifying the control message for that knob individually), you might be able to get it working. I think there's a BCR2000 patch editor - that might let you edit the knob settings more easily, maybe even letting you copy from one set to another. I don't think there's much MIDI OX/MIDI Yoke could offer (other than the multi-client thing but it sounds like you have that sorted).
