Please help mapping my Korg KP3

I'm using my KORG KP3 (Kaoss Pad 3) mostly for MIDI contronling. It's funny XY touch pad is very nice, BUT, it is mostly designed not for midi, but as a separate FX device for DJs and etc.. So midi capabilites are very poor compering to Audio FX unit general mode. Right now I have 2 mods on it, switching between them gives me 2 XY pads, but off course i want more and more Smiley

So here is what I want:

I have some.. 13 freely assignable buttons in second mode. I want them to chang my XY pad midi chanel from 1 to another 12 (one gives a first channel back).

So how do I do achieve that in a Translation Map, or some other way? Please explain for dummies, I'm very stupid (rahter don't have any experince) in programming, so PLEASE spend a little of your time to explain step by step #HOW TO#

I read all there is in Mapping section in read_me, but still don't have any clue

another option is to change XY CC value on one of the button press, but neither I could figure out how to do this, beacuse I need to change 2 values at a time

Using Data Mapping, along with MIDI Yoke, you can convert almost any MIDI message to a different MIDI Message.  This includes simple channel remapping.  In the Data Mapping dialog you first select what type of message to remap.  For channel remapping (1 to 12) you want to select *any* message that arrives on channel 1.  Secondly you select what type of message it should be converted to.  For channel remapping this translates to  "the same as the input message except output on channel 12".  So, in your case you only need one mapping line and you only modify two fields: the input and output channel. I'll link a picture:

it didn't work  Roll Eyes

I did two messages for two buttons in translation map, to switch between channel 1 and 2 for begining.

Switch to Ch2 looks like this:

I did 70 - 76, because that is where my XY pad is mapped (it has 4 more midi message abilities besides 2 on XY )

But what happens in Ableton Live, when i try to map a controller:
1. it works ok as a 1st channel 70-76 cc# command
2. I press my 2nd button that is 1st channel cc#50, and it shows as a second channel momenterally
3. When i press again my touch pad it shows AGAIN 70-76 cc# of the 1st midi channel

So that works only for the button I press. I don't need that. I can select that button any channel i want in my KP3 editor. I need my midi channel number to be changed permamentally only for 70-76 cc#command (and only for this device) until I press the next button, and channels go to another number.

What your map indicates is that Controller 50 on any channel should be mapped to Controllers 70-76 on channel 2.  That is pretty much an impossibility and would yield undefined results: a single controller can only be mapped to a single other controller in a single mapping step.   Perhaps you meant to place the 70-76 in some other field, but I can't determine that from your description.  What are you attempting to do here?
