MSC translation?

Hi everyone, I hope this is the correct place to ask. I work with a theatre company that has just purchased a new lighting console. I have been informed that it only outputs Lighting Midi Show Control. We are trying to get the connection between it and our sound playback PC to communicate properly. Details are as follows: ETC Ion Lighting Console (v1.4.5) outputting Lighting MSC SFX Sound Playback System (v5.6) inputting Sound MSC So, here is the question...does anyone know how to make Midi-OX translate the information coming from the lighting console into the appropriate midi show control data required to activate our sound cues the way it used to? The previous lighting console (ETC Express 125) used to send standard midi messages (program change, etc) which we were able to capture in SFX so that when a specific lighting cue was triggered, the sound effect that had the MSC data would also happen. This is no longer possible, as the new lighting console does not send those sorts of midi messages like it used to. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I would suggest that you hook up your new lighting console to MIDI-OX and see what data it inputs to the MIDI-OX monitor. Once you see what it does you might be able to decide how to convert it. If it's pure SysEx, it might be somewhat of a challenge, though.
