Reverse mapping??

Hi, I've mapped my electribe to control ableton but would like to also control my electribe with ableton. The electribe produces both CC and NPRN but ableton only understands CC, so my current mapping converts the NPRN from the electribe into CC for ableton to understand. How can I make a map so that abletons CC output can also be converted into NPRN for the particular controls on my electribe that only understand NPRN? Thanks for any help you can offer, Andy

You can choose NRPN as the target for mapping. When you do the Number and Values are 14 bit (0 -16383).

I have the same issue but I'm trying to do it with an Andromeda and cubase sx3. The Andromeda sends over four cc#'s (nrpn) when I turn the filter 1 cutoff...CC6, CC38, CC98, and CC99. CC98 and CC99 seem to be static numbers...no matter how much I turn the knob, only one value is ever recorded. The info painted under CC6 seems to mirror my knob movements accurately...a smooth sine wave is painted out as I turn the knob back and forth. However, CC38 is a jagged spiked pattern that doesn't seem to translate directly from the knob movement. I've successfully gotten MIDI-OX to convert the incoming NRPN info to a single CC#, but I don't know how to send that info back. I want to be able to paint my own curves and send them to the filter 1 cutoff. You mentioned a way to indicate NRPN in the map, but I need more help than that. How do I go about splitting a 0-127 value back into NRPN? I have a data map that looks like this "*|ctrl|3|3|0|127||*|NRPN|1|16383|1|16383 but it's not working. Please help! I feel like I'm so close! Thanks!

Quote: I am pretty sure you don't want to map CC:3 into the full range of NRPN numbers (and it won't do that anyway), so pick a particular NRPN# to map CC:3 into and then put that number: NRPN|68|68 (if 68 was your target).
