Hi,
 
I have spent quite some time trying to map my electribe ER1 Mk2 in to live 8. I have used midiox to translate all the NRPN values in to CC. On the output monitor in midiox everything seems fine, when I move a knob on the control it displays the corresponding data in the output log. But then when I come to map the electribe to controls in ableton the problem arises...
 
The first few knobs assign fine but then when I click a control I want to assign my electribe to it enters the midi value from a previously assigned control without me even touching the controller.
 
I wondered if it was the electribe continuing to output data from a particular control but nothing is showing in the output log in midiox.
 
In ableton if I then try to assign another control on the electribe to something in ableton, the correspondind midi value shows up while I am moving the knob but as soon as you stop it jumps back to the midi value that relates to a different knob on the controller.
 
Any ideas, i know a few people have managed to map electribes successfully. Has any one had similar experiences with other controllers?
 
Let me know and solutions greatly appreciated!!!

I am guessing that the device is using the latest data entry value to assign to the new controller NRPN number?  Data Entry is assigned to the current NRPN number. There can only be a single current number.  
 
The jumping back to a previous value, does sound like a mapping problem, though.  Look for the latest CC:6 and/or CC:38 values.
