Blocking MIDI message so it does no action

Dear forum people: In Data Mapping, we have Chan Message Min Max etc. Ditto for Output, which is where we can 'redirect' to a different channel, or translate values from the Input to the Output. However, how can one make the Input values go to NOWHERE, ...In other words, "BLOCK" the particular Input, so that it does not do anything anywhere? Thanks for helping.

| Hi Peter and THANK YOU very much for the reply. Yes, that is EXACTLY what I needed. I was not aware of the DISCARD option (probably because it does not appear in the Input options, which wouldn't make sense anyway); so I had much more laboriously redirected the input to a MIDI channel that I hardly use, so it would not affect my playing/recording. Midi-Yoke & MIDI-Ox combined are very powerful and I've been using them for quite a while, and don't know how I would do without them...I don't use VST's, all is standalone due to being mainly live playing, rather complex routings due to various hardwares and softwares, each thing seems to have their little peculiarities. But the Siwss Knife cuts through the forest just great! PS. I don't know how the Subject of the post got to be "In"...So, change it if you would, to "Blocking (not passing) MIDI messages", so it is more meaningful. Thanks.

| I can't. You should be able to use the "modify" link on your first message to amend the subject.
