Why is this so of Map folder?

Hi dear forum people.

I started to clean by deleting my older and no longer creations of map definitions (.oxm files) which were quite a few and were in the way of the ones I actually only need, and that went fine.

But while at that, though, I decided to MOVE the .oxm files included by the MOX developers, to another folder, which I named "ProvidedByProgrammer", fully aware of their use as a reference.

However, when I moved even JUST ONE of those files out of the MAP folder, to my surprise, MIDI-Ox won't run!!

And all thought says they are there just as a examples to learn from, and not needed for the software to run.

So, I just left them there, along with the ones I made and use.

Would very much appreciate to know about why this is so, or perhaps I could be confused, or maybe I have something in my system that leads to this surprising finding?

Thanks as usual for the goodwill of this forum.
