Using Midi Quest XL vst plugin within Nuendo

The goal is to be able to edit sound and display patchnames in Nuendo (which operates in the same way as Cubase) for various keys and fx which are all brought in via a MOTU Midi Express 128. I suspect the MOTU drivers are not multi-client.

Midi Quest creates a vst 'instrument' which is invoked within nuendo.  This vst works with Midi Quest to allow this inline editing, just as if you were using MQ as a standalone.

I suspect a mix of yoke and ox would do it, but I'm too dumb to be able to visualise it!  Seems to me if the MOTU had a mapping app attached to it, life would be easier.

Having scoured the web, there seems to be no one doing anything remotely like this, which surprises the hell out of me!

Any light at all might be enough to get me there!

Thanks!
