Hi everybody! I must preface this by saying I am a total newbie to midi-ox, and on top of that, I am a guitar player, so please forgive me if this question is very basic. My question - with the use of a midi A/B box, how can I use midi-ox so that program changes 1 - 64 go to the A Output and program changes 65 - 128 go to the B Output? I have all the gory details below of what I have and what I'm trying to do... I have a PODxt, an FBV longboard foot controller, a Live Wire Solutions footswitchable ABY box and a Behringer DEQ 2496 The PODxt and Behringer 2496 have midi ins & outs. The POD sends program changes on midi channel 1. It also sends out 2 volume control CC's, also on midi channel 1. The FBV foot controller hooks up to the POD via a Cat 5 connection. The Live Wire Solutions ABY Box does not have midi, and uses a footswitch. The footcontroller is hooked up to the POD. The mono output of the POD then goes to the A/B box. The A output of the A/B box goes the the Behringer Left channel, and the B output of the A/B box goes to the Behringer right input. The POD has 128 user presets that I control with the FBV longboard. The POD sends program changes out of midi channel 1 The Live Wire Solutions is a 1 input to 2 outputs A/B box, so I hit the footswitch once, and only the A Output is used. If I hit the footswitch again, only the B output is used. Hit the footswitch again, and it goes back to only the A output again, etc. The Behringer has 64 stereo user presets. So far with the use of midi-ox and the A/B box I have been able to use the 1st 64 presets on the POD to go to the Behringer 64 Left Channel presets, and POD presets 65 - 128 of the POD to go to the Behringer 64 Right Channel presets. Using midi-ox, I did have to map the program changes in the POD so programs 0 - 63 were now mapped to 1 - 64, and program changes 64 - 127 were now mapped to 65 - 128 so it would go to the proper user presets on the Behringer. I then use the Live Wire Solutions as an A/B box to toggle betwen the left & right inputs to the Behringer DEQ. If I am on the A output (which goes to the Behringer Left Input) of the AB box, I can select POD presets 1 - 64 on my FBV foot controller. If I need to use POD presets 65 - 128, I select that on the FBV foot controller and stomp on the A/B box so it sends out the B output only (which goes to the Behringer Right Input). So far so good. Now my thinking is rather than depending on my already overtaxed brain to have to remember to stomp on the foortswitch of the Live Wire Solutions A/B box, why not have midi take care of it somehow? I recently bought a Sound Sculpture ABCADABRA, which can be used as a midiable A/B box. It is curently set up to receive on midi channel 16, but can be configured to receive on any midi channel. So now my question is using midi-ox, how can I tell the midi A/B box on presets 1-64 use the A Output (into the Behringer Left Input), and on pesets 65 - 128, use the B Output (into the Behringer Right Input). Thanks!!!
