Basically, I'm using midi-ox to try and convert PC messages from a midi pedal into note or CC values to send to ableton live via midi-yoke. BUT, there's nothing showing on the monitor output, although port activity registers output....

PC message to a CC message. You need to install MidiYoke and select MidiYoke 1 as an input to Abelton instead of the foot pedal. MidiOx.... Open OPTIONS/DATA MAPPING Press CLEAR to remove anything already there. Press INSERT to create a Data Mapping On the Input line ... Select the top row (input) channel to what ever channel you are going to send the PC message on or leave it at Any Event type to ProgChg, The Patch# Min and Max should be -1 (any) Don't tick the Pass Original Value The second line (Output) should be Match Input unless you want a different channel, Event type should be Ctrl. As PC message only has a single data byte and CC has two you will need to select a control number. eg Ctrl# Max and Min should be say 2. Tick use input value 1 (Pull) this will put the patch number into the CC value. Press OK on the Mapping editor window Save the mapping to the MidiOx program directory then press OK. On the Midi Port Routing window connect the Input Midi interface from your foot pedal to the output of MidiYoke1 and you will see a small square in the middle of the connecting line. Click on this and in the resulting dialog there is a place where you can select the Map file you just created. Now your PC message should result in a CC2 message sent to the MidiYoke output this is connected to Abelton via MidiYoke 1 input. All the best Royce
