How do I configure MIDI-OX to transmit a sequenced file on channel 12?

The menu Actions /Play Midi.. brings up the midi file player MidiBar.
Press the circle with dots in it to select the output Midi interface and load the fie and press ">" to play.

If you need to change the channel from, say, channel 2 to channel 12 then it is a bit more complicated.
First create a map Options/Data Mapping
Press INSERT
Fill out the map
2  Any   -1   -1  -1  -1
12  Any   -1   -1  -1  -1
Click OK the save the map in the MidiOx directory

You will need to download (from here) and install Midi Yoke.

On the MIDI Port Routing window connect the In from Midi Yoke 1 to your Midi interface by dragging the mouse from one plug to the other.
You will see a small box in the center of this joining line, click it.
When you click the Map File drop down box you should see your file there. Select it.
The little square on the line should now have a green square inside it.

Now with the player you  select "Out to Midi Yoke 1"
Load the file and play

Hope this helps

I'm using Synthia hymn playing software, which uses MIDI-OX as its MIDI interface to the keyboard.  The selection and playing of the sequenced file is controlled by the Synthia software.  It is sending the data to MIDI-OX....and from there it needs to be transmitted on MIDI channel 12.

Will MIDI Yoke accomplish this?

Synthia software has the ability to select a voice on the keyboard, but the keyboard I'm using (Roland C-230) does not work like a typical piano or synthesizer keyboard.  I just need to get the note data transmitted and the keyboard will play it using whatever combination of voices are already selected.

Yes

The C-230 has the Organ sound on channel 12, but I couldn't find out what channel(s) Synthia  uses.
There is a way around that.
All messages will be changed to channel 12.
I have sent you an email with the data mapping file in it.

You will still need to get MidiYoke and install it.

This is how it is connected...
Synthia -> MidiYoke Out 1 -> MidiOx -> Hardware Midi Interface on your PC - cable-> C-230

In Synthia select MidiYoke 1 Out as the Midi output device.
In MidiOx join MidiYoke 1  In to your PC's Midi Interface output.
Run a cable from your Midi Interface Out to the C230 Midi In.
In MidiOx where the line joins MidiYoke1 to your Midi Interface Out, click the square and then click the "Map File" drop down box and choose ChanChange.oxm (the file I sent you)

You should be good to go.

When you close MidiOx it will remember all your settings and so the next time you need it, it should automatically be ready to go.

All the best
Royce

Thanks.  I tried installing MIDI-Yoke several times and get an incomplete installation error each time.  I'm running Windows 7.

I don't use Win7 but there are a couple of other similar loopback Midi drivers that might work for you.

There is Hubi's Midi Loopback software but I couldn't find a mention of whether it works for Win7
