(E-DRUMS) Use hi hat as second bass pedal?

Hello. I use my Alesis DM6 for Rock band 3 and Guitar hero type games. I was wondering if there were a way for me to change the hi-hat to make it register as a bass note, so I can use the hi-hat as a second bass pedal?

I hope I'm not violating any rules or anything. I am an extreme beginner when it comes to this program. Any help would be great.

When the Hi Hat pedal is Pressed:
002793F3 1 6 B9 04 7F 10 --- CC: Foot Controller
002793F4 1 3 99 2C 58 10 G# 2 Note On
002793F5 1 3 99 2C 00 10 G# 2 Note Off

When the bass is kicked:
0028FE93 1 3 99 24 22 10 C 2 Note On
0028FE94 1 3 99 24 00 10 C 2 Note Off

I assume that you connect to the PC directly from the DM6 and want to connect to RB3 running on the same PC as MidiOx.

You will need to install MidiYoke.

Once installed, in MidiOx go to Options/Midi Devices and select MidiYoke In and Out.

On the Midi port Routing window connect the Midi input from the hi-hat to the MidiYoke1 output.

Select Options/Data mapping..
The new window is where you set up the filter.
If you are able to press Clear then do so.

Now press Insert and a new dialog will open.
"When input matches..."
Channel=10  Event Type =NoteOn  Note # Min and Max = 44
Leave the rest of that line

"Set output to.."
Only change the Note# Min and Max to 36

Click OK
Back on the other dialog select Turn Map On and then press OK

Now when you hit the hi-hat the input monitor should be the same, but in the output monitor it should show you that the 99 2C ?? has been converted to 99 24 ??

In RB3 select MidiYoke1 as your Midi input.

All the best
Royce
