Velocity mapping with input from midi yoke?

This inverted velocity map seems not to work with midi input from midi yoke?
It only works when input NoteOn = -1 but then also NoteOn = 0 is converted.
There's no problem with the virtual loopMIDI cable or an USB-MIDI interface.

Hi Sonus

It works perfectly for me.

The datamap used on both links in the MidiPort Routing window.
Keyboard ->DataMap->Yoke1->DataMap->Yoke2
....7F...........................01......................7F...
....01...........................7F......................01
and values in between.

It also works for global datamap
Keyboard ->Yoke1->Yoke2  - datamap on

I did completely un-route my setup and rerouted each time I tested, so I can be sure it wasn't that.

The only way I could do it is when the links had the map and the global map was also on.
So it mapped the velocity then mapped it back again before it was sent to the output.

All the best
Royce

Hi Royce, could you try these configurations? Thx.

1. sequencer -> midi yoke -> port map -> output

2. sequencer -> loop midi -> port map -> output

With Sonar driving and global Datamapping turned off, just the map loaded into both the MidiYoke and loopMidi  connections all works OK.

I tried two tests sending both to MidiYoke 2 and to MS GS wavetable synth.

All as they should be.

Just checking the datamapping :

All boxes NOT selected on the datamap Translation Map window.
On the Define MApping page, again, NO boxes selected.

I believe these are also saved in the mox file but don't show up on the Translation view that you show.

All the best
Royce

Well, if my test file is played from midibar, both configurations finally do work.

Thanks!
