Hi Everyone, I'm having an issue with Midiox and was hoping someone could help I want to remap one of my hi-hat signals (hi-hat closed) to become a blue ride, i followed a tutorial but the blue note still isnt registering in game I have been using my Alesis DM10 drums to play rockband 3 on the xbox for a while now, everything works great, however i cant use my Hi-Hat properly, ie it only ever sends 1 note to the game (yellow), even though my hi-hat has 2 output ports I hooked the DM10 up to Midiox on my laptop and i could see the 2 different signals showing up in the Midi Monitor Window, i copied the details from the hi-hat closed signal, i selected 'Mapping' and and re-mapped it to produce the blue ride cymbol It didnt work, the hi-hat just registered as yellow in game when open and closed 1, When viewing the input monitor for my DM10 the notes column didnt show the notes i was expecting, ie, my midi drum notes are 46, 51, 42, etc but none of these notes showed up in the window, it was stuff i didn't recognise, how come my real midi drum notes weren't showing up in here? If i dont bother with re-mapping and just do a straight pass through, (ie dm10 - laptop (middiox) - Madcats Proadapter - Xbox (Rockband 3) the drums work as they did before so i know i have them setup right Any help appreciated Thanks I want the Hit-Hat to be able to send 2 separe

Hi First the display of Note On numbers - are you looking at hexadecimal numbers when you are expecting decimal? Right click on the Input Monitor window and select "Display Decimal" - and the same for the Output window. The numbers you program in the Data map are in decimal. So 1) in the Midi Port Routing window you have your Drum Midi input connected to the the Midi output for the XBox (a joining line with a little square in the middle) 2) you have created and saved a Data Map and either checked the box "Turn Map On" in the Data Map dialog (labelled "Translation Map") or clicked the square in the Midi Port Routing window and selected the Map File in the Connection Properties dialog that pops up. Data Map I'm not sure what notes, but lets say you want to receive Midi Note messages for your HiHat (say 43 on channel 1) and send out Note 47 and the original 43 (channel 1 and the same velocity) instead Line 1 Receive - when note 43 on channel 1 Channel 1 Event Type Note On Min Note# 43 Max 43 Min Velocity -1 Max -1 AND "Pass original value on (Clone)" Change to - change it to 48 Channel Match input Event Type Match input Min Note# 47 Max 47 Min Velocity -1 Max -1 If you want to receive Midi note for your HiHat (say 43 on channel 1) and instead send two different Notes 47 and 48 (channel 1 and the same velocity), add an extra line Line 2 Receive - the cloned Note 43 from the first line is changed Channel 1 Event Type Note On Min Note# 43 Max 43 Min Velocity -1 Max -1 NO "Pass original value on (Clone)" Change to - change it to 48 Channel Match input Event Type Match input Min Note# 48 Max 48 Min Velocity -1 Max -1 Let me know if you still have problems. Let me know exactly what note numbers in and what note numbers you want to output. All the best Royce
