Huh I'm pretty much in the same boat as the other people here, i have a sw1000xg and want to controll it with the XGedit, and sequence in logic, but i keep getting feedback messages with midi-yoke, i don't pretend to know much about this (obviously) and would love a few pointers, please help.

I don't have XGEdit, but I seem to remeber that Gregson's web-site had some information about using it with sequencers and virtual MIDI ports?

I don't have logic, but you should look at the "Midi Yoke and Logic not working?" thread in the MIDI Yoke NT section.

Later...
I went and poked around on the XGEdit site.  They only mention routings for Hubis Loopback, but the routings would be identical if you are using MIDI Yoke.  Just substitute a MIDI Yoke port for LB1, LB2 in the diagrams... and substitute MIDI-OX for Hwmdcable.exe in the diagrams. Substitute Cakewalk or Cubase for Logic in the diagrams (after adjusting the Logic ports in the above thread).

Cool Here's a link to the info:

thanks for the reply, i now have it working......nearly. I now have xg-edit and logic both cabled to the card with yoke and ox, (incidently i tried hubis in the same config and got silence, so nice one ox/yoke), the only problem i'm left with is that when i play a note on my keyboard whilst in logic the card plays gm instruments? i have to flick over to xgedit and re-click my chosen instruments to remind logic what i want to hear. Its ok when i'm using the mixer in logic or most other bits, it's just when i input notes from the keyboard???, i've tried having xgedit capturing the midi-in but that dosent work, hmmmmm, i'm so close to having it sorted, i need to get back to making tunes rather than hurting my head with these problems, can you help again, many thanks, paul.
