XP & Midi Yoke: Troubles with Window fx

I'm using MegaFont with Midi Yoke on my SBLive! 1024.
It worked all ok in win9xME.

however, now i've got a minor problem:
when i play midi files and minimize / maximize windows,
then playback seems to hang for the duration of this process.

i've tried all drivers currently available (original microsoft drivers, creative xp update, new microsoft drivers from update site, etc.) it makes no difference.

is this a problem with midi yoke or megafont?
i don't have these problems when i playback wav files or midi files using standard output ports instead of midi yoke & megafont.

does anyone else have these problems?
i can't access the megafont site anymore.
does someone know an alternate link?

thanks for your answers!

By accident, I've found a solution to my problem (it has been a long time since my last post, though, don't know why I even remember this one).

In display properties, there's a setting for hardware acceleration. When I set it to two steps below maximum acceleration, everything works ok. Don't know why I didn't think about this before.

The graphics card now resides in an old computer, and the sound card isn't the same, but I had the same problems described before in other applications as well (foobar2000 e.g.). So it was actually the fault of an obsolete graphics card driver.

edit: spelling mistakes.
