Problems with my ox-7

dear members,
i am from india -i have a ox -7 which i purchased 4 years back. i did not use the ox-7 for around 1 year and the unit was safely boxed. today i tried connecting the same to my roland fp-5 digital piano usually i connect this unit to- i could not hear any voice of the ox-7 on the roland... after some time i could hear even in full volume both ox-7 and roland fp-5 a faint sound of the ox-7. Please tell me what should be the problem..... This is the first time i got into a problem like this.
