MF2T how does it work ?

Hello
Please, could you explain to me how does MF2T work. I have windows XP . When I launch MF2T ( or T2MF ), I see a DOS window with a cursor. I don't know what to type. When I type a word and press Enter, the window disapears and nothing happens. The "Read me text" doesn't explain really or I don't understand it.
    Thanks for help

MF2T is a DOS console program (not written by us).  To use it, you place MF2T.EXE somewhere in your PATH environment variable (example: the Windows folder), open a Console Command Window, Change directory (CD) to the folder containing the MIDI file, and then enter a command line:

 > MF2T midfile.mid textfile.txt

Of course, replace midfile and textfile with the actual filenames.
