Idea: remap MIDI notes

For example, map C4 to A2. It could be done by a MIDI processor; takes an input and remaps the notes. Surely there's software out there already that can do this?

If I understand you correctly, MIDI-OX will do this. Was this a question?

Thanks, I was directed to MidiOx by a friend but I wasn't sure it could do it. I'm sure it won't be simple but I'll download it and try it when I next reboot into Windows

Use the Options | Data Mapping... feature to do this. There are some example maps installed with the program that will do this as well. Look in the MIDIOX\Maps folder.
