My PC went dead, need help.

I wanted to make a secondary hard-disk(drive D:\ in my case) available on my home network, so I went to drive properties, network sharing & security, clicked OK and waited for Windows to set file permishions(a process that slows the PC). A few hours passed and still not finished, so I loose my patience and cancel the process but the Pc is still slow. I restarted it but I get no image on the screen and both LED-s are on. Unplug it, same thing. What do I do? I have an AMD Athlon with Windows XP SP2.

Ooops , I thought it was a software error, but it turns out the PC burned from the heat(a really hot day, around 40*C I think) and the dust acumulated inside it.
