Will Midiox help me?

Hi to all, My Yamaha S30 synth seems to send midi info into my interface and on to Cubase for no apparent reason. Very annoying as it continually changes my settings and notes cut out. I've been directed here by the SOS forum and it was recommended I get hold of Midiox. I'm new to all of this and I'm sure whatever info this produces will mean nothing to me. Is anyone willing/able to receive the data in some form and can tell me what the problem is? Am I in the right place? Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Welcome! Sure. Just download and install MIDI-OX. Launch it and hook up your Synth/MIDI interface in Options | MIDI Devices.... To see all data, you'll also want to clear the filter (Options | Filter...) -- Uncheck all items in the top of the filter. After that data will start showing up in the Monitor. If it's not self-explanatory, you can capture the data by either turning on logging (File | Log... ), or Copy and Paste of the Monitor Window (Right-click, Mark Window, Copy to Clipboard). You can then insert the data into a message here, and someone will be happy to help out.
