Hi,

I am a little bit confused with reguards to remapping cc messeges.

How do i map say controller 10 to controller 7?

i understand that i select ctrl in the event type, how do i input data in the four remaining columns.

Does 10 go in the min or max, in the ctrl column?

What goes in the amount column?

Can someone explain  this to me as i want to setup maps to control my vsti synths using my phatboy

Thanks - Jamie

You would put 10 in both MIN and MAX (and 7 in both MIN and MAX for the target).  You can leave the amount column(s) as they are (-1) if you just want all the controller 10 values mapped.

The reason there are 4 columns is for maximum flexibility. In many cases you want to identify a particular controller (10), but there are times you want to map a range of controllers (or more likely, notes), and that's why there is MAX and MIN columns.  If we didn't have them you'd have to specify each mapping individually.  The same goes for MAX and MIN in the amount columns.  Try opening some of the example maps -- see how they work and then look at how they're constructed.

Hi,

I see, you could set a range of notes by putting in min and max. Thanks for you help.
