Plug the keyboard MIDI Out into Audigy MIDI In.
Plug the Audigy MIDI Out into the A-Station MIDI In.  In MIDI-OX Options | MIDI Devices..., attach the "SB MIDI UART" (or similar) Input and the "SB MIDI UART" Output.

Play the Keyboard.  You should see data in the MIDI-OX monitor, and you should hear the A-Station.
The knobs on the A-Station should affect the A-Station directly.  Although (the literature says...) the A-Station will also transmit MIDI when its knobs are turned, you'd need another MIDI port to attach the A-Station MIDI Out -- but that doesn't seem required with the current configuration.

Hi,thanks for the reply,(please xcuse mytech ignorance)the only part i didn't understand was about the SB midi uart, this is what appears in midi devices,
MIDI INPUT DEVICES-1.SB Audigy midi port
         2.SB Audigy midi port 11
MIDI OUTPUT DEVICES-1.SB Audigy SW Synth
       4.SB Audigy midi port
       5.SB Audigy midi port 11
       2.SB Audigy synth A
       3.SB Audigy synth B
don't know why they are numbered like that but that is what appears in options\midi devices. What would be the equivelent of midi uart in my setup?hope you reply,thanks.JelloB.

I was just guessing about the Audigy names since I don't have one.  I'm guessing that "SB Audigy midi port 11" is really "SB Audigy midi port II"?  or Port 2?  Does the unit have 2 ins and 2 outs?  In any case, the "SB Audigy midi port" would refer to the external MIDI device: the one I named as "SB MIDI UART".

the Audigy souncard has the usual joystick\midi port on back ,on the front drive bay it has 1 midi out and 1 midi in,so you meant SB midi port ii when you said Sb midi UART?In  Control panel\multimedia ptoperties\devices SB audigy midi out port ii is attached(underneath )SB Audigy midi out. That was until today when i booted up and opened cubase i saw that SB Audigy midi  port ii was now completely vanished!
I have contacted creative tech support and am waiting for an answer. Also last night i tried to open Audigy mixer and it just dosn't open,so i pressume there is something amiss with my soundcard.other things have also been happening since i installed cubase recently like asio drivers not being able to load.sorry to go on.thanks for your time.

Well, here's how to find out for sure:  In MIDI-OX open Options | MIDI Devices... and select ALL of the Inputs and NONE of the outputs.  Play some notes on the MIDI keyboard.  Notice which Port number the notes are on in the Monitor.  Go back to Options | MIDI Devices... and see which port corresponds to that number.  Now you know the actual name of your MIDI Keyboard input port.  Unselect all inputs EXCEPT this one.

Now try selecting each MIDI Output in turn, one at a time, and press OK to close and attach the drivers.  Eventually you will be able to determine which one is connected to the A-Station.  I can tell you for sure that "1.SB Audigy SW Synth" refers to an internal software Synth, and "SB Audigy synth A", and "SB Audigy synth B" refer to internal hardware Synths.

It all now works, thanks for your patience with this problem.
A few days ago i suffered yet another crash as well as strange problems so finally had enough and reinstalled windows after running scandisk and defrag, everything now is doing what it should have done from day 1,thanks again.
