SysEx send problem

Hello, I have a korg Z1 attached to my pc running win2000. I have a multiport USB midi patch bay (Midex 8 by Steinberg). I've been trying to send some new patches to the synth via midi-ox & indeed the process starts but hangs in the middle of the transfer. Midi-Ox pops up a message box that reads: "SysEx Output Devices: The port is transmitting data to the device. Wait until the data has been transmitted and then try again." I know the problem isnt w/the Korg since this issue also occurs when I have the Korg turned off. I suspect it's a problem w/my midi interface. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW I have tried increasing the buffer size & setting the delay to 60 ms.

| That message is indicative of too much SysEx being supplied to the MIDI interface too quickly (it's a busy signal). Open View | SysEx... and then SysEx | Configure.... Ensure that [x] Delay after F7 is checked. Try setting F7 buffer delay to 120ms. If it starts working you can cut back on the delay somewhat.

Jamie, thanks alot for the suggestion. I basically did what you recommended except that I increased the F7 buffer delay size to 200 & then it worked. Delay size of 120 was not quite enough. Again thanks for the assist, I can now transfer my patches to the synth again.
