I am a live sound engineer and would like to know if and how Midi-ox can send program changes to all my effects units with one click. Right now I am usung a sequencer to do it. I just open a new song and all the effects change. Is it possible to make a Midi-ox file for each song or a playlist that can send multiple program change messages at once?

I am guessing you want to send multiple different Program change messages at once? Are your devices setup on different MIDI ports, or are they daisy chained? I was going to suggest the MIDI status view Snapshot facility, but currently that is sent to each open port, so each device would have to be daisy-chained and/or setup to respond to a different basic MIDI channel from other devices. Then you'd just send a different patch change on each channel using a Snapshot.

I am currently daisy chaining them all and set each one to a different midi channel. Where is that snapshot funtion? I have a hard time finding the functions. Thanks for your help.

For easiest use of it, you may want to try the Beta, or wait until the release of 6.5. However, the basic functionality of it is there now. Open View | MIDI Status... It looks like a spreadsheet, with 16 channels and a configurable set of columns accross the top. It updates to the most recent value of each type received, and you can use the Control Panel or the Instrument Panel to set the Program changes [In the next release, you can use a data entry slider to change the values]. Once it is setup how you like it, you can right-click to Save Snapshot... or Send Snapshot. You can also re-load previously saved Snapshots (for different songs, etc.) A Snapshot consists of all the displayed values in the MIDI Status view, plus any other controlleres that have been received since the program was launched, or the view was last Cleared.
