If I understand correctly, you have * one MIDI input port * two applications wanting to open it Assuming the MIDI port doesn't allow multiple opens, then set MIDI Yoke/MIDI OX up like this: Install MIDI Yoke with at least one junction Select the MPU401 input as an input in MIDI OX Select a MIDI Yoke junction as an output in MIDI OX Drag the MPU401 from Port Map Objects to the MIDI Yoke Junction in Port Mappings MIDI Yoke allows multiple opens but I don't know if it will deliver all events to all readers. If not, you could try selecting a second MIDI Yoke Junction as an output and dragging the MPU401 Port Map Object to that, too.

Sorry for the multiple posts, I didn't know where I can post my question. I tried to create 2 midi outputs from my MPU-401, but when I put the MPU-401 port map in the midi yoke mapping, midi-ox crashes on the midi ports opening. Is the midi yoke NT version ( I use W2K) works fine ??, and if yes, is the midi-ox configuration can do this crash ?? Thanks 4 yours replies. Regards.

| I would suspect a MIDI feedback loop somewhere in your system. Never open the same MIDI Yoke port for both input and output within a single application. MIDI-OX writes a log as it opens ports. The log is placed in the application directory and is named _MOXBOOT.TXT It is recreated during every opening so you need to examine it immediately after a crash or problem -- it may show you which device is causing a problem.
