sysex to korg m1

I lost all factory presets after internal battery chang on my korg m1. I have been unable to get them back by sending the file m1preld.syx to the M1.
I have done extensive trouble shooting to establish that my hardware is working.
I now suspect a problem with midi ox configuration or a problem with the midi interface.
My midi soundcard is integrated on the mother board. Among the outputs and inputs listed is the mpu 401, when selected, this input/output seems to work for any function tested except for the sysex transfer. I have read the faq and forums and have configured midiox according to them.
Can anyone help with this problem?

Find the messages about doing a hardware loopback test to test your MIDI interface for SysEx transfer.

Heres one: http://www.midiox.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=query;action=display;nu m=1068070360;start=2#2

What are the results of that?
