hi there,
new member Wink
here's the issue,i just recently discovered that i need these pieces of software to use my evolution x-session and my oxygen 8 at the same time for dj-ing in traktor dj studio or ableton live...
after grabbing a link to this page on traktor forum i downloaded and installed midi-ox and midi yoke succesfully...but my problems start right now Huh
i see that either traktor and ableton preferences tabs recognize midi yoke outputs(8 of them),but i haven't got a clue what to do to to obtain my 2 controllers to look as one for the midi set up/learn modes in traktor or ableton...
please help someone Undecided
cheers

Okay, start with the basics.  The problem you have is you can't open the same device twice for a hardware MIDI port, so you're using MIDI Yoke instead.  You can open the same MIDI Yoke port in two applications and they'll both see the same events.

But the MIDI data is there on the hardware MIDI port, not on the MIDI Yoke port, right?

So you want to copy the data from the hardware port to MIDI Yoke.  That's what MIDI OX does.  You open the MIDI Yoke Output port and copy data from both MIDI hardware input ports to that output.

Each MIDI Yoke "junction" has two ends: effectively a MIDI Output port -> (some virtual MIDI cable) -> a MIDI Input port.  So data you write to MIDI Yoke Output 1 can be read on MIDI Yoke Input 1.
