Max "safe" no. of inputs for a midi yoke ?

hi I've just added a 5th input to a single midi yoke output (and this 5th addition will carry sysex) via a midi ox instance. I'm haven't been aware of any problems using 4 into 1 (which I've been using for yonks). Am I likely to run into difficulties here e.g. choking ? I've done this because it suites the setup I have in Cubase SX 2.....all midi keyboards + controller combined into one node. ta swayzak

So, in MIDI-OX you've got 5 inputs (unspecified), being routed to a single MIDI Yoke Output port? That should work fine. There is no upper limit except that MIDI-OX only supports 64 Input and 64 output ports (more than any other application that I am aware of). 64 x 16 = 1024 channels.
