Program can't hear MIDI signals w MIDIOX runs

I am using a VJ software called Resolume. I find that when MIDI-OX is running, Resolume does not get the MIDI signals. When I stop MIDI-OX, Resolume gets the MIDI signals OK. I am using a Korg Entrancer connected to the MIDI port on an Evolution UC33e. Once again - when MIDIOX is NOT running, Resolume gets all the MIDI info correctly. When MIDIOX is running, it shows all the MIDI activity correctly, but Resolume does not get it. What can I do to make sure MIDI info is passed through to Resolume?

Most MIDI drivers only allow one program to open the device at a time. MIDI OX is a program. Resolume is a program. Maybe your MIDI hardward doesn't allow both to open the MIDI port at the same time? If not, you can use MIDI Yoke. This is a (virtual) MIDI device driver that allows more than one program to open its ports at once. Any MIDI events sent to a MIDI Yoke output appear on the same-numbered input. So you can have MIDI OX open your hardware port for input and send the data to MIDI Yoke. Then Resolume can open the the MIDI Yoke port at the "other end".

I am guessing that ther MIDI Input port that MIDI-OX is connected to is NOT multi-client? To solve, install MIDI Yoke and then Chain the apps: [input port]->[MIDI-OX]-->[Out: MIDI Yoke 1: In]->[Resolume] Is one possible config.

Thanks, worked perfectly! I have posted instructions on how to do this on the VJForums and the Resolume forum.
